Me V. Simcha on CBS

Here is the video of my appearance on the "CBS Early Show" with the director of the new Jesus documentary. For what it's worth: He stormed out of the studio without saying goodbye at the end. (Hat tip to my pal Whitney Tilson for uploading the video!)

No, Hannah said it best - Religion is a matter of fate, not a matter of science.

LOL
WHT provided us with a perfect example of "telephone" and how the "facts" of the Gospels aren't reliable.
She said "religion is a mater of FAITH" which is a play on words and she was trying to be facetious.

I think Bruce Feiler is closed minded and arrogant. I also think Simcha is arrogant, but at least he's not closed minded.
He's examining a set of undisputed facts. Like he said, this is not about religion, this is about examining facts. The facts are: the tomb was found, these names were on the ossuaries inside.
Statistically, the odds make it likely that this is the historical figure of Jesus, but it doesn't prove it. But using the Gospels as a reference to prove or disprove anything, is silly.
I find it hilarious that Christians, whose faith is based on accepting something without proof, are complaining that there isn't enough proof, even though the physical evidence here is more compelling than what they BELIEVE to have happened.

Science says, stick to facts.
Faith says, screw the facts.

I'm with science.

All this talk is so far-fetched. Everybody knows that Jesus woke from the dead, escaped from the tomb and sailed upward to outer space. To belive otherwise is pure fantasy.

Religion is a matter of faith, not a matter of science. This is a truth. But “Faith” is not Religion. Religion is a matter of Faith in the tenets of a Religion. The tomb is real, the names are real, and the conclusions are based in science and logic, not Faith. This find is the closest in all of provable and tangible history that there ever was a Jesus, and the fools blinded in their religions want to suppress what could be the first true PROOF, outside of the contrived and stories of Christianity (which now have some tangible proof to support even them) that Jesus existed. What is the matter with you? Our Savior existed in human form, waked upon and in this world, died and returned to the earth. Unless you subscribe to the ridiculous notion that Jesus took his physical earthly flesh with him to Heaven, then what is the issue? Love and Faith - OTE
